Why see Christone Kingfish Ingram?
The Next Big Thing In Blues
Mississippi-born Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram first learned about the blues at the age of five and was playing professionally by the time he was a teenager. This might sound like the story of an older blues musician, but, at the time of writing, this highly acclaimed bluesman is still under 30! With his 2022 album '662' being a Grammy-winner, the traditional blues prodigy is on the road once again, bringing his Muddy Waters-inspired talents to a stage near you.
At the tender age of 23, Kingfish became a hot name in blues and, joined the likes of Tedeschi Trucks Band, Samantha Fish, Bob Margolin, Eric Gales, Rick Derringer, Guitar Shorty and Buddy Guy on stage. But perhaps the highest praise comes from Tony Coleman, drummer for BB King, who commented that he plays the blues the way it was meant to be.
